Why Mark Started Redstone

After more than 20 years in the employee benefits industry — including roles with Blue Cross Blue Shield and UnitedHealthcare — Mark Hodge saw firsthand how confusing and impersonal the benefits process had become for small businesses and families. Too many employers were overpaying for coverage they didn't understand, and too many individuals were going without protection they genuinely needed.

He founded Redstone Benefits Group in the Dallas–Fort Worth area to do things differently. As an independent broker, Mark works for his clients — not the carriers. That means shopping the market honestly, explaining options in plain language, and recommending what actually fits each situation. No pressure. No jargon.

Today Mark serves businesses of all sizes, individuals, and families across the Dallas–Fort Worth area and Texas — helping each one build a benefits strategy that protects what matters most and makes sense for their budget.
